Creating mobile games for everyone

Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 24/09/2026 Last Updated: 24/09/2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Scolding Rock Studios ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you download and use ColorDrop Kids (the "App"), our mobile game for a family audience.
We built this App with children's privacy in mind. The App does not collect personal information, and it does not show personalized (targeted) ads to anyone. The App is free and supported by ads, but every ad is served in a non-personalized, child-safe mode, and this mode cannot be switched off by users or by us.
If you are a parent or guardian, please read this policy on behalf of your child. By allowing a child to use the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not allow the App to be used.
1. Summary
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, precise location, photos, contacts, camera or microphone data, or account information. The App has no user accounts and no chat or social features.
We treat all users of the App as children, regardless of their actual age.
We do not access, collect, or transmit Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or the Google Advertising ID (GAID/AAID).
Ads are non-personalized. They are not based on a player's interests, behavior, or profile.
We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information such as name, email address, phone number, physical address, precise location, or in-app account details.
Advertising identifiers. The App is configured so that it does not request or use the IDFA or GAID/AAID. On iOS, the App does not display Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt because the App does not track users.
Limited technical data processed by our ad provider. To display ads, Google AdMob may process limited technical information, such as IP address, device type, operating system version, app version, general region, and basic ad interaction data (for example, whether an ad was displayed or tapped). This information is processed only for the limited purposes described in Section 3, and not to build advertising profiles.
We do not use the App to collect any other data from your device.
3. How Information Is Used
The limited technical data described above is used only to support the internal operations of the App's advertising, namely to:
Deliver and display non-personalized ads in the App
Limit how often the same ad is shown (frequency capping)
Measure aggregate ad performance and report on it
Detect and prevent ad fraud and technical abuse
Keep the App and ad delivery working properly
We do not use this information for personalized or interest-based advertising, retargeting, or building profiles, and we do not combine it with any other personal information, because we do not collect any.
4. Advertising and Google AdMob
We use Google AdMob, a service provided by Google, to show ads in the App. To protect children, we configure AdMob as follows:
Child-directed treatment: All ad requests are marked as child-directed (COPPA "tag for child-directed treatment").
Under age of consent treatment: All ad requests are marked as coming from users under the age of consent in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland ("tag for users under the age of consent").
Non-personalized ads only: Ads are contextual and non-personalized. Personalized ads and interest-based advertising are disabled.
Family-friendly content: We set AdMob's maximum ad content rating to PG and use only ad formats and ad networks that are certified for use in child-directed apps under Google's Families policies. Any third-party ad networks used through AdMob mediation must likewise be certified for child-directed use and must respect these settings.
Google acts as an independent service provider for the ad-serving activities it performs and processes data under its own privacy practices. We encourage parents to review:
Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
How Google Uses Information From Sites or Apps That Use Its Services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
5. Choices for Parents and Guardians
Because the App shows only non-personalized ads and does not track users, there is no personalized-advertising setting to turn on or off in the App, and no tracking prompt or consent request for ad personalization is shown.
Parents and guardians may also:
Review, correct, or request deletion of any information relating to their child by contacting us (Section 13). Because we do not collect personal information, we generally will not hold any, but we will respond to every request.
Use device-level controls as an added layer of protection: on iOS, Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; on Android, Settings → Google → Ads (delete or reset your advertising ID and opt out of ads personalization). These settings are not required for the App to be non-personalized, but you may wish to use them on your child's device.
Use parental controls built into your device or app store (such as Apple Screen Time or Google Family Link) to manage app downloads, purchases, and usage time.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA and Similar Laws)
The App is designed for a family audience, including children under 13. We comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar children's privacy laws.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we do not collect personal information, we do not require verifiable parental consent.
Persistent identifiers, where processed by our ad provider, are used only to support the internal operations of the App as described in Section 3, and never to contact a child or to serve behavioral advertising.
We do not allow children to post or share information publicly, and the App contains no chat or social features.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us (Section 13) and we will promptly take steps to delete it.
7. Your Rights Under GDPR and UK GDPR (European Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights regarding any personal data processed about you or your child, including data processed on our behalf via AdMob:
Right to access
Right to rectification
Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
Right to restrict processing
Right to data portability
Right to object to processing
Right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing
Right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
Legal basis. We do not carry out personalized advertising or profiling, so we do not rely on consent for those purposes. The limited technical data used for non-personalized ad delivery, frequency capping, measurement, and fraud prevention is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating a free, ad-supported game, which we have balanced against children's rights and interests by disabling personalization and minimizing data. Where the law requires consent, including parental consent for children below the age of digital consent in your country (which is between 13 and 16 depending on the Member State), we will obtain it before processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at our email address below.
8. Your Rights Under U.S. State Privacy Laws (Including CCPA/CPRA)
Residents of California and other U.S. states with privacy laws may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use personal information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Because ads in the App are non-personalized, there is nothing to opt out of; the protections described in this policy apply to all users automatically.
To make a request or ask a question, contact us at our email address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. Data Retention
Because we do not collect personal data directly, we do not retain any personal data ourselves. Technical data processed by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's own retention practices, described in Google's Privacy Policy.
10. International Data Transfers
Technical data processed through AdMob may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where Google and its partners operate. Google maintains appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, for transfers of data originating in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.
11. Security
While we do not store personal data ourselves, we rely on Google AdMob's industry-standard security practices for any data it processes. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. If we ever make a material change that affects how children's information is handled, we will provide notice and, where required by law, obtain parental consent before the change applies to your child.
